Problem

We have now access to many good image generators, including:

• ChatGPT image generation
• Qwen image generation
• The latest Gemini 2.5 Flash Image (aka "nano-banana")

How to generate an image prompt from a photo so that you can create a similar image?

Solution

1. Use any of the above e.g. Gemini 2.5 Flash Image
2. Upload the image and use the following prompt:

Please analyze the uploaded photo in detail and generate 
a descriptive, detailed prompt for an AI image generator 
to create a new, similar photo.

In your analysis, please focus on the following elements:
- Subject: What is the main subject and what are they doing?
- Composition: How is the shot framed? (e.g., close-up, wide shot, 
rule of thirds, leading lines).
- Lighting: Describe the lighting style (e.g., soft morning light, 
dramatic studio lighting, golden hour, neon glow).
- Color Palette: What are the dominant colors and the overall mood 
they create? (e.g., warm and vibrant, muted and desaturated, cool and moody).
- Style: Is it photorealistic, cinematic, vintage, an oil painting, etc.? 
Include camera and lens details if possible (e.g., shot on a DSLR 
with a 50mm lens, shallow depth of field, high-resolution photography).
- Atmosphere: What is the overall feeling or mood of the image? 
(e.g., serene, energetic, mysterious, nostalgic).

Combine these elements into a single, cohesive paragraph that can be used 
directly as an image generation prompt.

3. Now create a New Chat. (Note: this step is very important!). Use the generated prompt to generate a new image.
4. Try the same prompt on different image generators. Pick the one that you like best.
5. Don't expect the generated image to be 100% the same as your original photo. But it should be quite similar. If not, simply repeat step 2 above to regenerate the image prompt.
